Nordic Winter Retreat

    Away from home, turn off your daily life program and enjoy your time during winter with us on Farm Backsjön!

    Focus for you to rest and recharge by letting the nature come to you. Don't think, just let it happen.

    We offer different nature coaching workshops and winter activities. Make a choice, 2 workshops and 2 activities, together with your booking and we will do our best to create a program to your wishes.

    Program:

    • Arrival on Sunday and settle yourself in our Nordic house
    • Every day at 8 am is it possible to welcome the day with an eco-somatic exercise outside together with Carolina
    • Monday: Find, Focus and Feel the Connection with Nature
      • 9:00 - 10:00 Fika and say hello!
      • 10:00 - 12:00 Landing on place with our donkeys
      • 12:00 - 13:00 Reflecting time
      • 13:00 - 14:00 Lunch
      • 14:00 - 16:00 Landing in the nature together with our dogs
      • 16:00 - 18:00 Relax and reflect
      • 18:00 - 20:00 Dinner and closing the day around a fire pit
    • Tuesday and Thursday: Action & Connection with nature

      • 10:00 - 12:00 Workshop with Carolina

    Workshops with Carolina, Nature based coach

    1. Coaching with dogs, what do they want to tell you?
    2. Coaching with donkeys, what do they like you to learn?
    3. Contact with ice and snow, be creative
    4. A snow walk with intention

    Activities with Hasse, Nature guide

    1. A sledtour with our huskies over lakes and through forest
    2. Visit nature per snowmobile
    3. Ice fishing, a nice form of meditation or relaxing
    4. Survival tips and tricks

    What's not included

    • No clothing included, but eventually possible to rent after personal contact.
    • Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Warm lunch only on 3 days during the day activities

    Practical information

    With us you drive your own sled, only kids can sit on the sled or with special occasions. Driving your own sled with 4 till 6 dogs is a totally different experience than sitting on a sled, you will only smile afterwards! :)

    Special requirements

    Because of risk dogsledding is not allowed for pregnant women.

    Restrictions

    You are not allowed to bring your own food on the farm.

    Extras

    • Because we want to offer you the best experience we take the time for you. Any form of stress has influence on the experience, because Siberian huskies feel your stress. It's normal our clients get nervous before start sledding, therefore we build up a relation with the dogs and us before. How more open you are in advance how you feel or other items, let us know. We are flexible to take the track that fits you best.

    Health & Safety

    During dogsledding and driving a snowmobile is no form of camera allowed for your security and for the dogs. Pictures/movie can be made by the guide or during breaks.

    Disclaimers

    Important is to follow the rules during the activity. The organisation is otherwise allowed to stop the activity.

    Cancellations

    Booking procedure: After you booked via email or phone, you get a confirmation and an invoice of the total cost. After payment is received, your booking is valid.

    Each participant must take out their own travel insurance and cancellation insurance. Lack of snow, extreme spring flood, fire or other circumstances beyond Farm Backsjöns control, what Farm Backsjön couldn't reasonably expect when the reservation was made, entitling Farm Backsjön to terminate the contract without providing compensation in any form. Nor can Backsjön support held guilty of any strikes.

    Each participant must respect the rules and safety procedures. If any person violates the general rules, we are entitled to charge a fee to cover costs.

    Cancellation after a valid booking it will be refundable on production of a medical certificate, otherwise a voucher will be sended by email for the total sum.
    All cancellations must be in writing.

    Payment shall be made by bank transfer, swish or online payment possibilities.
