Take one day or more to connect with our dogs and discover the white nature together via sledding and/or walking.

One day Nature experience with our Snowdogs

1.- Program of the day:

• A short moment to relax, leave your busy head at home and start to enjoy.

• We start with a Swedish fika, where we would like to know a little bit about you, your relation to animals, your health condition, etc. Why? Our experience after 15 years is that how better prepared before to go dogsledding, we all enjoy the day, you, we and special the dogs.

• We will give you some information about Siberian huskies before we will connect with them.

• Recommendation: don't use parfume, the smell makes it difficult for our dogs to learn to know you.

• Our dogs will welcome you and we will connect you with the dogs we know will fit to you after our introduction talk.

• Enjoy this part together with the dogs, build up a relation. We will take the time for you to learn to enjoy together.

• Are you ready to go dogsledding? This question will be asked, where after  we will explain how to steer a sled with 4 till 6 dogs.

• We will show you how to place a harness on the dogs and which position in front of the sled fits to each dog.

• We make a test tour on the lake in front of our house, so you get the feeling what it means to go dogsledding by steering the sled yourself.

• TIME FOR LUNCH! We will enjoy a warm lunch in our grillkåta with ingredients like reindeer meat or salmon. Please inform us if you prefer another alternativ, we will organize that.

• During lunch we discuss the experiences of the morning and decide the program for the afternoon. Till example a nice sledtour for about 1 hour or some more rounds on the lake. If you don't feel comfortable to drive the sled yourself, we can eventuall offer you one round sitting on the sled on the lake and we will drive you. Just to get a little bit the feeling.

• After lunch we will prepare all sled and dogs for a dogsled tour. Because the dogs are eager to go sledding is the focus on them and you, so no time for pictures. With groups where we go for more than one trip, the other ones can make pictures, but follow the signals/instruktion of our personal to avoid accidents/disturbance.

• Time for the sledtour together with our dogs, a nature guide will follow you on a snowmobile, this for support and security. Some stops will be made with information about the nature here in the North and check if you and the dogs are okay.

• During the trip are no camera's allowed, during the breaks it's okay. The guide can make pictures/movie during the tour. Focus is for you to enjoy together with the dogs the white nature around you. 

• After you return on the farm thank the dogs for this experience. If you like you can make now some pictures together with the dogs. 

• Together we bring the dogs back to their cage and return all equipment.

Highlights

It's nice for you and the dogs to met each other before we start to action. In the kennel we will inform you more about our dogs. Come really in contact with the dogs of your team, so they look forward to drag you through the great white nature. Together we decide which tour is the best for that day.

By placing the dogs in front of the sled you will experience how eager they are to drag you. You will start your trip over lakes and through the forest where a guide follows to support and for security. By coming back on the farm it's nice if you help to bring the dogs back in their area after thanking them for the nice trip.

!!It's not allowed to feed our dogs except if our nature guide brings with a 'candy' for the dogs.
